Vadivelu refuses Vijay’s film By Behindwoods News Bureau. September 27, 2007 Director Dharani in Kollywood circles is known as a stickler for discipline and perfectionism. Reliable sources reveal that he will not compromise for anything mundane and would expect a top notch performance from his cast. For this reason the call sheet that is generally allotted by the artists to Dharani’s project will far exceed that given to any other film.

It has been reported that in Kuruvi, the upcoming directorial venture of Dharani, the lead players Vijay and Trisha have each given more than one hundred days to the film. This by Kollywood standards is a very long duration. In the mean time, while finalizing the artists for comedy track in Kuruvi, Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu has been approached but Dharani wanted at least seventy days with the comedian. This was not found acceptable by Vadivelu who is generally accustomed to giving one week to a maximum of two weeks per film. So the actor has refused Kuruvi. We need to wait and watch who would fit the bill for providing comic relief in the film.
